Use small paperclips to engage students in a contractions activity where the paperclips represents the apostrophes.  See the very short YouTube video of 27 seconds to see a demonstration.  Use this free printable to make some slips of paper with folds to either demonstrate this activity for your students, or if you are brave–let them try!
